What do people think?
iView provides a fantastic, accessible library of training resources for key software packages used by students at university. Its ease of use and straightforward layout make this product the ‘go to’ reference for student software queries as well as providing clear outlines of product features. This is useful in DSA assessments when demonstrating key aspects of the software packages.

On logging in to iView Learning I was given tips, I love these, simple shortcuts to make it easier. This is available online, even as an App, so literally anywhere anytime that suits the students learning style and/or time, even when others are sleeping. There were so many AT subject available I find it hard to believe this would not suit any student, and I feel it would cover virtually all Assistive Technology Software recommendations. iView Learning even has tutorial on Microsoft Office and/or G Suite for Education, so not just Assistive Technology, I feel this if an additional bonus for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSAs) students as the funding is only available for Assistive Technology Software (unless your good at strong justifications), and so many students need additional support with the ‘ordinary’ systems they also have to use, especially the less computer savvy students.
I had heard another online system was the only one that had interactive tutorials; NOT True, iView Learning has Interactive Tutorials – that was Tip 1 of 4, so you can learn something new every day. Though not all of them – Yet?
I apologise, I haven’t explored everything on every subject; but I soon found how superb this was for me, I am Deaf, it even has subtitles – an obvious boon to anyone who is hard of hearing; and I would assume great for hearing students trying to work in a busy area. At first, I thought “but not always available?”, then I realised you have to click on the option of ‘None’ – the default setting – or ‘English’ to actually benefit; it is then brilliant – my opinion, you try it and see.
I found all the Assistive Technology Software I recommend on a regular basis, and some I have not recommended at all – as my knowledge is limited on that particular piece of AT – I can now rectify this lapse, ensuring I can recommend the most suitable Assistive Technology Software and Hardware to meet the DSA Students Needs; let’s not forget everyone is an individual and will have different needs, even for the same or similar disability/ies.
I already recommend this for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSAs) students, should you do so too?
